Who We Are

Our goal is to learn more about patients with seizures by collecting and analyzing data. We are interested in all types of data from patients with functional seizures, epileptic seizures, both functional and epileptic seizures, as well as other seizure-like events. We are interested in all types of data including patient and caregiver report, electronic health records, scalp and intracranial electroencephalography (EEG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and positron emission tomography (PET). We use this data to understand how to differentiate patients with each type of seizure and learn more about the underlying neurology and psychological factors that influence their condition and their care.
